Scott SmithSCOTT SMITH

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Scott began his career in ATM sales in 2000 and over the next 6 years working for the two largest ATM companies in Australia, firstly Cashcard and then Customers Ltd (now DC Payments), sold more than 600 ATMs in the Australian market. Having gained extensive knowledge and inspired by the potential for growth in the industry Scott decided to leave paid employment and set up Cashpoint Payment Solutions with his partner (now wife) Cassandra Smith. Both owners have been actively running and growing the business with a service based ethos that has taken it from a start-up company to a business that has earned great respect and reputation within the industry.  Having spent years sourcing market leading people Cashpoint currently has a team unrivalled in the Industry. This team will see Cashpoint grow and continue to innovate over time and provide solutions in the cash and financial transaction space.

Cassandra SmithCASSANDRA SMITH

DIRECTOR / MARKETING MANAGER

Cassandra has been working in Marketing for over ten years with experience in a number of different specialties having worked for NCS Australasia and IPSOS Australia before becoming Cashcard’s Direct Marketing Manager. Along with Scott Smith, Cassandra has been working on establishing Cashpoint Payment Solutions as the premium ATM provider in the Australian market.

Geoff FaberGEOFF FABER

GENERAL MANAGER

Geoff began working with IBM in 1990 rising through the ranks from ATM Service Technician to Product Manager for Australia and New Zealand. During that time a strong passion for customer service was instilled with the belief being that the customer is everything. A belief he still holds over 20 years later. In 1997 Geoff formed and co-ran what was at the time Australia’s only independent ATM service company with 3 partners. During that time he was responsible for the ongoing maintenance of over 10,000 ATMs nationally. Since assuming the position of General Manager at Cashpoint Geoff has been quick to establish and refine processes that ensure the smooth roll out and servicing of the ever increasing range of Cashpoint products and technology solutions.

Arthur Van Der MerweARTHUR VAN DER MERWE

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Arthur has over 13 years’ Software Engineering experience, specialising in the Financial Industry. He also holds a Degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and a number of other Diplomas from various institutions including Stanford University. Arthur’s experience includes heading up Architecture for Dimension Data Africa and Asia, developing Enterprise Solutions for the IT Industry on the continent. He has an in depth knowledge of ATM protocols and financial switching and has developed device drivers for various financial protocols and integrated into various Banking Systems. Such specialist knowledge enables Cashpoint to easily facilitate site specific requests and constantly upgrade and add new features to our products.

 

Fleming ThompsonFLEMING THOMSON

NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Fleming Thomson has over 25 years’ sales and sales management experience in the office automation industry in South Africa. In Australia Fleming began his ATM industry career in 2001 as the Regional Sales Manager (NSW) for EBS, Electronic Banking Solutions. When Cashcard bought EBS, Fleming remained with the company. During his 12 years with Cashcard he held various roles including National Sales Manager ATMs and more recently National Retention & Profitability Manager ATMs & EFTPOS. His time in that role enabled him to build up specialist knowledge of the industry which he now brings to Cashpoint. Fleming joined the Cashpoint team as he was impressed by the dynamic and innovative approach Cashpoint takes and also to enjoy the genuine customer focus we provide.

Ken JoungKEN JOUNG

HARDWARE/SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Mr. Joung, based in Korea, holds a degree in Computer Engineering. He has over 15 years’ experience involving the development of banking automation products and network and systems integration in the ATM/KIOSK manufacturing industry. In the last 10 years, he has served in senior technical and software development roles. Ken plays a major role in Cashpoint software development and the introduction of new products into the Australian market.
